About Your Policy

Thank you for choosing Sherzer & Associates for your insurance policy & needs.  Since 1979 our customers have come to expect the best service and highest quality products in the industry.  Partnering with quality insurance companies and offering competitive rates is only the beginning of our commitment to you.  Our goal is to provide you with products that suit your needs and to explain the coverage in a clear, concise manner.
In placing your current insurance policies, we have discussed your insurance needs and analyzed insurance coverage that is currently available through various insurance providers.  However, please be aware that both of these factors may change over time - your insurance needs may change based on developments in your life, or those of others in your household and it is not unusual for insurance companies to periodically change the policy language at renewal time.  Because insurance policies are by their nature very detailed, it is simply not possible for us to have discussed every possible aspect of your insurance policy with you during the quoting and issuing process.  Because of these factors, we strongly recommend that you be proactive with respect to your insurance program.  You should read the documentation you receive from your insurance company and seek us out for clarification or guidance should you feel the need.  Further, if your needs change or if there are revisions or changes to your policy that concern you, you should request that we meet with you to discuss.
We are absolutely committed to serving you and we welcome the opportunity at any time to hear from you to discuss your insurance coverage needs or concerns.
Finally, based on our experience, there are a number of insurance issues that commonly arise but are often overlooked or misunderstood.  The following list is generic and is not intended as a substitute for an analyzing and addressing your specific needs.  However, should any of the following items be of importance to you, please let us know so we can address:

  • Your home coverage is based on the Replacement Cost Estimator completed with the application.  This should be checked for accuracy and updated when necessary.

  • Payments are usually due at 12:01am (a minute after midnight) which means your payment must be received before this time and date.

  • Rental Car Coverage may not be included in your policy.
  • Your driving record may be a major factor in the pricing & acceptability of your policy.
  • People who live in your home, or frequently use your vehicle, are rarely covered without being added.  Adding additional drivers doesn’t necessarily mean an increase in rate.
